Darcy is a handsome little boy that has been very people focused from a young age, preferring to follow me around the yard and house over rough housing with his siblings. Darcy has a very docile and gentle personality, he's very intelligent, picking up on his crate training and basic obedience incredibly quick. We are currently working on:

• Crate Training: He's doing very well sleeping through the night from about 10pm to 6am
• Potty Training: In short increments with regular trips outside to potty, he's doing VERY well, we are slowly increasing the amount of time between potty breaks. He still pees in the crate, often in the early morning when he hears me get up and I don't get to him fast enough to let him out
• Leash Walking: Due to his propensity to follow me around, Darcy has picked up on the leash walking very quickly! He's quickly learning not to pull and to look toward me when there's a distraction instead of pulling towards it
• Sit: Sitting on command without a lure and holding for several seconds, slowly working to increase duration
• Down: Downs with a food lure
• Place: Learning to go to "place" with a food lure
• Come: Very fast... on the rare occassion he's not already under foot!

Darcy could go many directions, he has the potential to be a phenominal therapy dog with appropriate continued training. Darcy loved to engage with his people for food or toys, he should do well with performance sports such as barn hunt, agility, nosework, and other similar activities. He would also fit well into an experienced dog family with younger children or elderly family members as long as appropriate training was continued to ensure his already gentle nature is reinforced.
